Dinner tonight was these scrumptious Black Bean burgers with oven baked fries!

1 can of black beans (or 1 1/2 cups)

1/2 cup cooked brown rice or quinoa

1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs

1/4 cup chopped onion

1 garlic clove

1 egg or flax egg

1 tsp onion powder

1 tbs Frank’s hot sauce

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp salt

 

Combine all the ingredients into a food processor and pulse until fully mixed. The mixture may be a little on the “liquid” side. You can add more bread crumbs if you like but I had no problem forming patties. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add 2 tbs of coconut oil and cook each patty for about 3 minutes on each side. Top with your favorite fixin’s. The “green sauce” is the 5 minute magic sauce from @pinchofyum
