Classic Peanut Butter & Banana
A trick I have found in trying to get my kids (and hubby) to eat a little healthier is to have food prepared and out where they can see it. It’s one thing if I tell the kids that they can have a banana and peanut butter for their after school snack and it’s another thing if they see it ready on the counter. (They will dig right into the latter and grumble at the former) The same thing would go if I told them to go and eat a piece of fruit versus having a smoothie on the counter. (Same is true with my sweetie) Yes it means a little more work for me (and also only fuels their appetite for convenience… which is an entirely different battle ) but in the end if makes me happy to seem them eating something like this peanut butter banana as opposed to reaching for a bag of chips.
